Firehouse Moustache Wax “Wacky Tacky” Review
Firehouse Moustache wax “Wacky Tacky” was created by a fireman whose name was Farrier John Pitts. Due to the fact that his favorite mustache wax had gone out of business, he decided to make his own wax that could resist to the heat, humidity, damp and cold weather conditions in his home state of Mississippi. So, that was how the Firehouse waxes were first created and have been quite popular up to now.
This wax is actually available in three versions. If you have gray or blonde hair, they have a “Light Wax”. For those with medium hair shade, they are making “Dark Wax” and the all time favorite “Wacky Tacky” which is ideal for brown or black hair.
The ingredients of this wax are a closely guarded secret. The basic ingredients of any wax is beeswax, petroleum jelly or both, so what the company adds to that is not clearly known.
With so many companies manufacturing mustache waxes, it´s no surprise that they would not want to disclose the full list of ingredients but looking at the customer reviews and the popularity of the product, I would say they are doing a great job.

How To Apply Wacky Tacky Mustache Wax
There is a number of ways you can apply the wax.
Wacky Tacky is a firm and tacky wax that can be difficult to get out of the can. Many people use hair driers to soften the wax and then immediately remove a small portion using their finger nail.
If the wax is in room temperature, you can push it up using your index finger and rubbing it with your thumb and index finger for a few times.
Running a little hot water on a closed tin will also soften it enough to start the application. Just make sure the wax is dry before you start applying it.
If you are applying the wax after warming the tin, it won´t be necessary to rub it with your fingers.
After you have applied the wax, use your mustache comb to run it through the hair a few times so it spreads evenly.
It should be noted, that if this wax was soft enough to remove from the tin easily, it would be unlikely to hold those stache hairs firmly in place. Still, it seems that the dark version of the Firehouse Mustache wax is slightly softer if you are interested to try out another version of the same wax.
