Perfect Preparation For A Great Shave
Whether we like it or not, we all have to pass through the experience of shaving sooner or later unless we decide to live our life in a cave.
Did you know that we spend approximately 7.300 hours during our life passing a razor on our skin?
That kind of time is worth the effort to learn the correct procedure and make an effort to look after our skin health when shaving.
By following a few basic steps, we can ensure to have a great shaving experience instead of a daily bleeding routine. The most important step is the pre-shave preparation to cover the fundamentals and have a perfect shave.
It may sound silly but the first thing to decide is when to shave. The best time to shave is in the morning because the muscles of the face are less stressed than at night, which makes the shaving easier.
You should avoid shaving in the middle of the day after having food because the digesting of the food makes the blood flow very active and this can result in you getting cuts and bleeding easier.
If you are going to shave in the morning, I recommend that you try to exfoliate your face the previous night. I realize that this task may not be very practical for all men but believe me, it will make so much difference on how your skin looks if you have done exfoliating.
This step will remove dead cells from the face and leave the skin ready for a perfect shave the following day. Mind you, it is not necessary that you do this every day, especially if you have sensitive skin. I would suggest men’s exfoliating twice or three times every week.
The next step is to soften your beard with hot water for a while. This will help to open the pores and more importantly soften beard hairs. Again, it is common knowledge that softening your hair will make the blade slide easily and give you a smooth shave. There are lots of products available in the market today to help you carry out this step.
